ABOUT.
A Multidisciplinary Creative:
Walt Daley is a multidisciplinary creative director, filmmaker, photographer, and music
producer whose work brings together creative strategy, visual storytelling, brand
development, and sound. With more than a decade of experience spanning
advertising, entertainment, technology, fashion, music, and lifestyle, he has
built a career around taking ideas from their earliest conceptual stage through
to complete, audience-facing creative work.
Born in New York City and raised in London, Walt has lived, studied, and
worked across New York, Los Angeles, London, and Manchester.
This international background has shaped a culturally aware
and highly adaptable creative perspective, allowing him to move
comfortably between commercial brands, technology companies,
advertising agencies, independent artists, and founder-led ventures.
His career began within advertising, working as a Junior Creative
Partner at OppermanWeiss in New York and BRANE Ad Agency in
London. During this period, he contributed campaign concepts,
creative strategy, photography, visual narratives, and pitch materials
for internationally recognised brands including Martini Rosso, Bacardi,
Tequila Cazadores, the PGA, Formula 1, and MV Agusta. Among his early
accomplishments was the development of a script for Martini Rosso’s
“Desire” campaign. Conceived as a cinematic story centred on passion,
community, and shared experience, the script was presented to the brand’s
senior creative team and subsequently greenlit for production in Rome.
The project established an approach that would continue throughout Walt’s
career: identifying the emotional centre of an idea and expressing it through a
unified combination of narrative, imagery, music, copy, and atmosphere.
Mad Flavour Creative:
Mad Flavour Creative is the professional banner under which Walt’s creative work since 2020 is brought together. Formally established as a creative studio in 2024, MFC developed from the multidisciplinary practice Walt had already been building across film, photography, music production, branded content, and creative direction. Rather than treating these projects as a collection of disconnected roles or freelance assignments, Mad Flavour Creative represents the complete body of work - and the consistent creative philosophy - that connects them.
The MFC portfolio includes creative leadership and production undertaken with Hello Genius, Free Land Solar, Green Gorilla, Mark Owen (Take That!), Hendo Soul, Plant Wall Design Co., Storytelling School, Video Ink, Brakha X2, and a range of independent artists, startups, and lifestyle brands.
For technology startup Hello Genius, Walt oversaw creative content strategy and production across social media, educational films, fundraising materials, investor presentations, and product launches. He conceived, scripted, and produced integrated brand films and still-image campaigns, combining original copy, music, voice-over, curated footage, and visual storytelling into cohesive campaign narratives. He also collaborated with the company’s founders and its product and UI/UX teams to strengthen the relationship between brand identity, digital experience, and public-facing communications.
His work with Free Land Solar represents one of the most comprehensive expressions of the Mad Flavour Creative model. As Head of Creative Content, Walt leads creative strategy and the production of original film, photography, audio, copy, and social content for the American clean-technology company. A central part of this work involves translating complex engineering, infrastructure, and sustainability concepts into clear and emotionally engaging stories for customers, investors, commercial partners, and the wider public. The work has included brand films, educational content, corporate photography, social campaigns, copywriting, website content, original music, interviews, and founder-led storytelling.
Walt oversees the creative process from research, positioning, and concept development through scripting, directing, production, editing, sound, and final delivery. In doing so, he combines the perspective of a creative director with the practical understanding of a filmmaker, photographer, producer, and editor.
Through Mad Flavour Creative, Walt has also directed and produced branded films, commercials, behind-the-scenes features, investor content, and official music videos. His film portfolio includes work with Mark Owen of Take That, Hendo Soul, Green Gorilla, Hello Genius, Video Ink, and Brakha X2.
Depending on the project, his responsibilities have encompassed concept development, scripting, directing, casting, location planning, cinematography, editing, music production, and post-production.
His photographic work spans portraits, fashion, editorial, products, artist campaigns, corporate headshots, events, boudoir, lifestyle, and photojournalism. He has created imagery for artists, brands, designers, influencers, and businesses across the United Kingdom and the United States, including Green Gorilla, Rage Quit Fashion, Mark Owen, Kit Plumridge Designs, and KikaNY through a collaboration with the Ridley Scott Film Association.
Music and sound remain equally important components of his practice. Walt co-produced Hendo Soul’s debut album, Lavender, delivering production, arrangement, vocal development, and mix engineering across multiple tracks. He has produced original music, sound design, scripted audio, voice-over, and sonic branding for commercial projects, including work for Plant Wall Design Co. and Storytelling School. His wider production work encompasses R&B/Soul, Hip-Hop/Rap, House/EDM, and genre-blending artist collaborations.
This ability to work across multiple disciplines is not a collection of unrelated skills. It allows Walt to understand how every element of a project contributes to the larger creative identity. He can determine what an idea needs to communicate, establish its tone and visual language, develop its narrative, and ensure that its film, photography, music, sound, and written voice feel as though they belong to the same world.
Education and Creative Development:
Walt’s creative education began at Hurtwood House in Surrey, one of the United Kingdom’s leading schools for the creative arts. There, he studied Media, Theatre, Business, and Photography, developing an early foundation in storytelling, performance, visual communication, and commercial thinking.
He later completed a Master’s Certificate in Electronic Music and Sound Design at Dubspot in New York before earning a First-Class 1:1 BA (Hons) degree in Audio Production through BIMM Manchester and the University of Sussex. Walt graduated as valedictorian and received honours for academic excellence. His relationship with BIMM later continued in a mentoring capacity, supporting students with music production, engineering, academic research, dissertations, and final creative projects.
Beginning in September 2026, Walt will undertake a master’s degree, also from BIMM, in Creative Business Management. This next stage of study will expand his existing experience through a deeper focus on entrepreneurship, leadership, commercial strategy, innovation, and the development of sustainable businesses within the creative industries.
At the centre of Walt’s work is a belief that strong creative output should do more than look or sound polished. It should give an artist, company, product, or idea a clear identity - and give its audience a reason to care.
Whether developing an initial concept, directing a production, shaping a campaign, composing music, photographing a subject, or building the creative foundations of a company, Walt approaches the work as a complete experience. His role is not simply to produce content, but to create the atmosphere, identity, and story that allow an idea to be understood, remembered, and felt.
